- If you are not certain about a key, you can look up here its function. Bold words represents the minimal function-set that must be mapped on your remote control in order to be able to use MMS.
| Module | Function | Description |
| general | prev | prev or previous is usually know as UP, and is one of the four arrow-keys |
| general | next | next is usually know as DOWN, and is one of the four arrow-keys |
| general | left | LEFT is one of the four arrow-keys |
| general | right | RIGHT is one of the four arrow-keys |
| general | back | back is usualy know as EXIT, and is the counterpart of MENU |
| general | action | action is OK, and is usualy in the center of the four arrow keys |
| general | second_action | second action is MENU, the counterpart is EXIT |
| general | options | options is an additional configuration menu (context dependent) |
| general | search | search leads into the search-menu-screen. Use the keys 0-9 for letter input. |
| general | page_down | page_down scrolls down a certain number of entries. Jump range is defined here. |
| general | page_up | page_up scrolls up a certain number of entries. Jump range is defined here. |
| general | eject | eject opens and closes your cd-tray |
| audio_general | mode | mode is your current PLAYLIST screen. |
| audio_general | playlist_mode | playlist_mode shows you your saved playlists, and lets you load one of them. |
| audio_general | play | starts a playback of a song in your playlist |
| audio_general | pause | pauses the playback ( use play or pause to continue ) |
| audio_general | stop | stops the playback ( play start at the top of your playlist ) |
| audio_general | ff | fast forward |
| audio_general | fb | fast backward aka rewind |
| audio_general | prev_track | previous track jumps in the playlist one song back |
| audio_general | next_track | jumps to the next track in the playlist |
| audio_general | vol+ | increases volume |
| audio_general | vol- | decreases volume |
| audio_general | mute | no volume at all |
| audio_general | playlist_commands | a special menu, which makes the playlist commands accessible |
| choose_playlist | delete | deletes your playlist from your harddisk |
| pictures | recurse_dirs | shows all images in the current directory and all sub-directories in a slideshow |
| pictures_fullscreen | suspend | pauses a picture slideshow |
| graphical | info | shows IMDb informations, use reget first. |
| graphical_movie | reget | gets online IMDb informations for the movie you are standing at. |
| graphical_audio | add_dir | adds whole directory you are standing at, into your playlist |
| audio_add | add_all | adds whole content of the directory you're standing in, into your playlist |
| playlist | move_up | moves the song you are standing at, one position in your playlist upwards |
| playlist | move_down | moves the song you are standing at, one position in your playlist downwards |
| playlist | delete | deletes the song from your playlist you are currently standing at |
| playlist | queue | puts the song you're standing at into the playlist queue. (A queue number is shown to the right of the song) |
| playlist | clear_list | empties your whole playlist content. |
| playlist | save_playlist | saves your playlist. (A input-box for the filename apears. Use the keys 0-9 for letter input.) |
| search | accept | usualy know as OK. Leaves the search menu, and sets the focus on the selected item (it's not in the playlist yet). It's good to take the same key, like for action |
| search | erase | deletes the last letter. It's good to take the LEFT-key |
| search | prev | navigates UP in the search result. So take UP too. |
| search | next | navigates DOWN in the search result. So take DOWN too. |
| search | complete | fills up obvious search patterns. It's good to take the key for RIGHT. |
| search | exit | leaves the search menu |
